A good and at the same time very dangerous giant, this is Vesuvius, one of the most famous and studied volcanoes in the world. Its history is inextricably linked to history and memory: with its eruption in 79 AD it has handed over to history an entire territory that goes from Pompeii to Herculaneum, destroying thriving Roman cities.
Vesuvius is a still active and potentially dangerous volcano which nevertheless looks kindly on the surrounding territory, offering fertile soils where world-renowned products grow, breathtaking views and naturalistic beauties.
